The corridor Tirana-Durres in Albania is considered as one of the urban areas with rapid development. The rapid transformation of this corridor to a metropolitan area is continuing and is dominating the economic system in our country reflecting also demographic changes in this area. Along this corridor are located many industrial activities, shopping centers and service companies that contribute significantly to the alleviation of unemployment in these areas. In general, rural space is used by many migrants who have come from rural parts of the country. Population growth is estimated at 42-47% in the last decade. Due to the rapid development of the urban area, surrounding rural areas continue to have a fundamental transformation. Many individuals and families, especially from other rural areas are located along this corridor to escape from unemployment and poverty. The study results carried out in two years (2011-2012) with interviews conducted in the Commune of Kashar, municipalities; Vora, Manez and Sukth concluded a reduction of unemployment respectively, 3.3%, 2.5%, 1.4% and 1.7%. This rapid urban development in this corridor is promising for future economic growth.
