Benchmarking, a helpful tool on Business Management

Benchmarking is a successful practice used in Total Quality Management. The main purpose of this paper is the presentation of this practice on creating competitive advantage and the presentation of the situation in Albanian companies. There is given a short presentation of the benefits of benchmarking and the steps to follow in order to implement it in the business. If a practice isn’t understand by the people, than they can not take full advantage of it. Thus, it is important for the managers to understand benchmarking in order to be successful on its implementation. In the analyzing part of the paper, is given the situation for the businesses in the city of Shkodër, how much they understand benchmarking and how it is implemented in the business.
